The myriad of possibilities of these Mah Jong modulars are just as intriguing as the traditional Chinese tile game. The late German designer Hans Hopfer designed The Player, the first iconic Mah Jong sofa in the 1970s for Paris based furniture company Roche Bobois.  Since then, the design has been reinvented by some of the top fashion houses such as Missoni, Kenzo and most recently Jean Paul Gaultier.
