This season’s installment of the relatively new AFW was as slick as Alberta oil with creative runway shows, amazing after-parties and the meeting of the city’s most fashion-forward minds.  I’m already missing mingling with the designers, bloggers and spectators equipped with my usual arsenal: Nikon camera, pomengranate martini and  sky high stilettos.  If the energy of this season is a sign of times to come, then the future of Alberta Fashion Week is looking beautiful on the runways and off.

Natural Wonders:  handcrafted jewellery designs from Anne B. using horn resin, shells, wood and bone.

Fashion Art:  a stunning theatrical show from Mackenzie Jones incorporating the great Canadian landscape.

Recycled Rocker:  edgy street style creations from recycled fabrics by Daryl White of D.W

Spin Doctor:  Celebrity DJ Ruckus taking care of the crowd at the Grand.

Fashion Friends:  can never have too much fun.

Behind the Lens:  ad campaign + after-party.

Food and Fashion: an excellent pairing at Blink Restaurant, in-between shows and parties.
