Chris Malinchak

This track from producer Chris Malinchak makes me so happy.  It has a sweet summery sound and reminds me that good friendships cannot be torn apart. Although I can picture myself listening to this poolside, it’s been my go-to music  while getting ready. I hope you are all settling into September and sharing the beauty of life with others!

    Stereo MCs

I love this little gem of a track. The old school vibe of Stereo MCs is still there in ‘You Got It All‘ with its modern sound and amazing message. Everyone’s searching for something, but often we are trapped in our own minds. Listen to the lyrics and set yourself free. You just might have it all then.

    Delilah

I’ve been mesmerized by the hauntingly beautiful music from Delilah‘s  From The Roots Up album all day today while trying to write, and it’s been slightly distracting especially with the video to this ‘Inside My Love’ track.  Once you start listening to Paris-born, London-raised Paloma Stoecker AKA Delilah, who fuses contemporary soul with classic R’ n ‘B, it’s hard to stop.  This particular song makes me feel so many things on many levels as her voice and lyrics make it difficult to not be affected deeply.  Enjoy, and I hope you are equally distracted!

    “…Two strangers, not strangers
    Only lacking the knowing
    So willing, feeling
    Infinite growing
While we’re here, the whole world is turning
We should be, one, fulfilling the yearning

You can see inside me, will you come inside me
Do you wanna ride, inside my love
You can see inside me, will you come inside me
Do you wanna ride, inside my love…”

The cover for this Ballad to Erotica album reminds me of the famed Studio 54 era which I love and try to emulate often by wearing Halston and blinging out in gold.  I’m a disco queen at heart, really.  It’s interesting how music can evoke great fashion moments.
